Ehara koe i a ia hōia! (Thank heavens you
were there, lucky we have you soldiers.)
e Tama mā e. ( Good heavens boy!)
Rā whakamahara ki ngā hōia o Ahitereiria me
Aoteroa. (Anzac day - a day to commemorate those
who have served in the Nz and Australia armed
forces.)

  1. Hi Ava,
I like that you posted a poem in Te Reo. Where did you find it? Maybe you could have a look at the size of the type and make sure all the English is smaller (or the same). Great work.

    1. Wow Ava awesome work, You have done a wonderful job of writing the poem yourself and put in so much thought. It is so much easier to read now you fixed the font. Well done!!!!

  3. Hi Ava, this is a cool poem. These words sum up the feeling of thanks for the Anzacs. Did you make it up or find it somewhere?

  4. Hi Urmi, I lookedtlooked up words on a Maori dictionary but thought of the words that would suit the poem best. Can't wait to get back to school although I'm enjoying working with my mum!
